Looks like it is going to be sometime in Feb? Supposed to be released around the same time as the new 939 pin 64's.

Well, even when the new system comes out do you think it'll be worth the price tag for what will most likely be marginally better performance than current A64 chips?

I dont really think price will be a concern on these chips. With Inhell coming out with the Prescott around the same time......it will most likely invoke a price war. AMD is picking up market share due to the 64 on both desktop and server platforms......and Intel doesn't like that much. The 64 chips will most likely start making them nervous....and that will force them to play the money game again...since they have so damn much of it. It has happened before......it will happen again!! And if they dont get the speed that they need to beat the 64......at low enough temperatures....they will have to pull something out of there ass or Dell may start building machines with both platforms.....and that would be bad for Intel!!

There are rumors......that with the 939 pin boards will come advanced overclocking ability along with dual channel memory for the non FX models but with the possibility of only a 512 cache. If this happens..... And of course the FX will still be the top dog. Then I have read talk of AMD locking all the CPU's except for the FX series.....and charging a premium for them.....

Only time will tell........but then again.....it is only a few months away!!
