no 250w wont really be enough, you might get lucky and have an operational system, but I dont recommend you run such a high end CPU on this spec. aim for 400w, they arent that costly if you look around, QTEC while not particular wonderful are decent enough for low funds. 450w and 550W if you have more funds, aim for a high quality sparkle, antec or globalwin.

Yeah I've got a pretty big case. It has 7 bays. I think I will get a 450W PSU.
Why 2 PSU's?

450w is a very good choice,as i have a 480w dual fan and am pleased with it.
2 psu, with the right adaptor you can run the crucial cpu & mobo with the first psu.
then cd's,hdd's case fans graphics card(if required) of the second psu. without overpowering the different rails from a single psu.
personally i don't see the point of dual psu if you have a good powered psu.

Maybe hes planning on running some pelts or a water cooling system off of one of them. Thats why I have 2 PSUs, one's purely to power the pelts.

Peltiers, they use a ton of electricty, but get VERY cold on one side and VERY hot on the other side. (all the heat from the cold side needs to go somewhere)
They are great for cooling, if you set them up right.
I dont have alot of money, I just look in every dumpster I find, and make tons of smart buys.

....well... considering that i might end up with dual Opterums...... i might need more then just one psu... speacially if all i can find locally is a cirtified 400 watt at best.... I plan on pushing 1000 watts at least.... of pure power... this should hold me for a good 3 years... i'm hopeing 5 though..... As i want to keep the resale value good... (less power consumption on a psu.. less ware and tare... longer life).... my 350 watt is running a good 5-10% overspec.... and i plan on getting another gig of ram along with 2 more hardrives.. and a DVD-RW drive...

Well.... not sure.... it'll only happen if this one guy decides to go for it.... I'm currently thinking ahead and getting a APC BX1000 Battery Backup unit with 8 plugins... 6 of which are fully line cleaned.... surged.. and backuped... the other 2 are just adition that are fully cleaned and surged protected.... This will give me 2 plugins for mycomputer (dual PSU) 2 for 2 monitors... (in the future).... 2 more for Router/Cable Modem..... while the server will run on a 90 minute APC VA500 Backup unit.... a well... i'm going to figure it out.... $250 just for the APC BX1000

you know u can, wire them togreather and have the 2 supplys share the load on each lead ... to give very good voltage......

I thought about doing that, but I'm not interested in doing nearly that much work.
Also the PC power and cooling PSU never drops below -.1 on any of the rails. The lowest I have seen it go to is 11.92, and it ususlly buzzes along at 11.98. (I need to get out my multimeter and check the voltages because I dont trust the mobo voltages, but if the 12V line is really slightly weak, according to the multimeter, I'll raise its voltage, but I can do that just by turning a pot in the PSU)
I dont know why they say you can adjust the voltages, but at the same time they say your not allowed to open the PSU.
