Guys,

I am in desperate need of some help here!!

I just put my other PC together and put my mobo in a new case and bought a new PSU (Antec 480watt) and when the PC used to start up the PSU would spin very loudly and intermittently, as it adjusted to the temp. Power Supply thermal sensor

I have copied a diagram from my mobo manual below. It would appear that this 2-pin PWRTMP1 connector isn’t connected to my ASUS board and for the life of me I don’t know where or what the cable should look like!!!

shouldnt be nessacary and i've yet to see a power supply thats come with one

not that there would be any paticular point temp should be taken so i wouln't enen begin to tell ya were to put it if you wanted to add one...


i have the same board ... i dont use those pins does that help?

sound lie you got one of those psu's with noise control..
if it doesnt you got a bad fan mabe..
