Asus Bios updates..May be worth checking.

Just to let those who use ASUS motherboards,it appears they have released a few new bios updates..Just worth a look for you're board.

In particular the P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP 0809 has been released for my mobo since i last looked 2 days ago..

Improvements in Version 0809

1. Improve ATAPI CD-ROM's compatibility with EZ-Flash
2. Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-
3. Add [7 DRAM Clocks] in [CAS# Latency] option
4. Add some items for [REF Cycle Time]
5. Enable better support fir FSB1600/DDR-1200 combination
6. Enable CPR support for CPU Ratio control
7. Fixed C1E, TM and EIST can't be disabled issue
8. Add option [60 DRAM Clocks] into [REF Cycle Time] setup item.

i believe i have ASUS BIOS.

but it's labeled as Phoenix - AwardBIOS v.6 on run>dxdiag.

if i download this BIOS update, will it fix some of the problems i'm experiencing?

I'm not sure you understand. You have to have an Asus motherboard...and look up on their site your particular model. Only download an updated bios if it specifically addresses issues you are experiencing. Updating a BIOS unnecessarily and really not wise.
