Drivers for the ASUS A7K-A1

I just purchased a shiny new Asus A7K-A1 laptop from here. The only issue for me is that it came with Vista, as many laptops do these days, so my first order of business was to uninstall Vista and install XP. The install went without a problem, but now it's a matter of finding the drivers. The disk that came with it yells at me when I put it it, telling me that it's Vista or the highway.

I've been searching around the internet for the past few hours and haven't been able to find a thing, except for a few people on forums saying that the drivers can be found, but they are hard to find.

Any help or advice?

Hi and welcome to DriverHeaven!

Drivers for your ATi card you can get by using the DH Mobility Modder.net
Remember to read the instructions on the page.get it here : http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool/

For the other drivers like the hybrid TV-tuner I have no idea what chip it is so I can't give any advice where to get the drivers for it. Same goes for the sound card.

btw. why you moved to XP?? SP1 for Vista is coming soon and it should bring some improvements to Vista.

They should all be on Asus's site? While their site is usually horrible for access times, the drivers are usually always there. My F3-Sc came with Vista which I trashed for XP, and lo and behold, what wasn't on the CD in terms of drivers was on the site

The CD says it's Vista-only, and the site only has three XP drivers... and none of them work.

I've just been living with Vista thus far...
