Quick and simple question about Sata.
Thinking about upgrading this aging machine to something a tad more sexy:
c2d e6600 7950x2 (maybe) P5N32SLI SE Deluxe And I'm making sure I've got everything covered...so the quick and easy question is thus: Will a Sata150 drive be able to connect to a Sata300 connection on the motherboard? I've searched these forums but only found answers to the opposite question (300 drive to 150 connection). The fact that the opposite is true gives me some hope but I'd like it verified before I take the plunge. The WD 150g raptor can't be that dated yet, can it? Thanks, Bic. Edit: Just chucking another random question in here: The P5N32SLI SE Deluxe apparently needs an updated bios before it supports the c2d processors...but I should be able to boot to dos and do the flashing okay though still? |

I'd flash the mobo first then put the chip in...why not? Safest that way
