First time setting up an inhouse network, 1 problem.
Just trying to network mine and my roommates computer im connected wirelessly while he is wired. Both XP firewalls are down ran the xp network wizard on both PCs.
Both using the same network name Mshome I can see and access his shared files no problem but he cant access mine. Would it be a linksys router issue?

I have a linksys WRT54G v2.2 wireless router and all my computers, wired and wireless can interact with eachother.
Can he at least see or ping your computer? Did you share any of your files or folders? Do you have a firewall installed? How did you set your IPs?
Regards, Partizan

No firewalls on either computer xp or otherwise. I can see my comp from his under workgroup computers but double clicking on mine prompts for a login/pass and i never set one up? I have folders shared.
Never did anything specific with the ip address. What should i have done?

Do you have your Guest account disabled?
You may also have to go into gpedit.msc and look around under Security Settings for Allow Blank Password Logins in Console Mode Only and disable that
