I bought the fvs124g for the great price and dual wan ports. Though it has been having problems; Such as randomly disconnecting and having 'downtime' where it is disconnected and the router cannot be acessed.

Because the top of the box gets so hot I figured it was a heat issue so I set a giant 32'" house fan on it(only thing I had avalable). But still the same issues even though its cool.

Unfortunatly I knew this product was going to be a bit of a stinker when I checked reviews on the net before I bought it, but the price was right and a perofessional solution would have costed over $1000 so I thought I'd try it out.

Worst part is that the netgear forums have been down so even the thread talking about the product is gone.

Anyone have any advice/ a more stable firmware verison or perhaps even a fix?
