Radeon Express 200M and High Ping problems

I have a Toshiba laptop with the 200m Express and have very high ping when playing Star Wars galaxies online. Usually between 570 and 630, and the Fps drops from 23 or so to 1 fairly quickly. I am on a DSL connection and the laptop is one of 3 computers on the network...the other 2 are desktops and have no ping problems or framerate issues.

I checked the tech boards over at the star wars galax. forums and adjusted all the graphics options, etc. to the lowest settings and still no improvement, same high ping and fps problems.

I switched over to the Omega drivers as I couldnt find support from ati, although I just read about the modding tool here at the forums. Not sure how much good it will do me though...I also updated the buit in network card drivers just in case and still no change.

Any advice from you folks would be great. Thanks!
