I need advice

firstly, these are my specs
http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...885&pfp=BROWSE

I have been playing the BF1942 demo for months online without a hitch. they i bought the full game loaded it and started playing online, but about 15 minutes into each game somthing would shut off (I think my video card) and the screen would either go black, but the rest of the PC was still running, not the display. I tried all the patches excetera.

So i went back to the Demo f the game to see if i still worked and 15 minutes into that it would freeze (it always worked before) but it did not go black and then it would go back to windows saying the display driver crashed and i need to restart the PC.

So somthing happened when i loaded up B1942, its a old game so my system should handle it. I tried douwnloding drivers from here but they wont install, something is incorrect.

i would aprreicate the help.

System Specs

Video problems and missing specs.

Hello:

I am afraid i was unable to open the link you provided :
"No product found matching your query"

I would recommend trying to update the display drivers from the video card manufacture.
http://support.ati.com ----> for ATI Radeon Cards and the like
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp ----> for NVidia Cards and Chips
if it is another graphics chip company, try update.microsoft.com, they sometimes have new drivers there under "hardware"

Check the following about you system:
1) Is there a BIOS update for you system from your manufacture?
2) Is the power supply big enough to support the system. Some manufactures do not but suitable power supplies in their systems. (I would recommend 250-300 watts bare minimum)[If its a desktop PC]
3)Is there enough cooling for the CPU and the Graphics card / chip? You may need to add in another fan or replace the heatshink(s). Or check an see if there is a broken fan / blocked vent.

You will need to provide more information regarding your system so i can be of further assistance.

Hope this may be helpful. Good luck.

thanks, its a toshiba laptop with an ATI mobibliy radeon, 3.3 gig Pent. 4, with 1 Gb RAM.

I propped up the laptop so it got more air underneath and that did the trick.
