I think I should test the Catalyst 4.10, which is recommended by Randomness (see quoted message below), but the link to the driver is broken.

I will be on long trip until december and won't have internet access. I will try to attempt to address some of your issues by then. peugeotmania, i am sorry, i don't have time to work on your problem.

However, at first glance, your problems might be with cleaning out your previous drivers. If you are looking for a driver that is most functionm use a modded 4.9 catalyst drivr, or you'll have to switch over to vista, and use the modded 6.4 drivrs instead.

Sorry, but when I read the last time your message, I didn't notice your idea about "cleaning drivers". The problem is that I don't know what you are meaning with cleaning out my previous drivers.

Does this mean I should not proceed like I describe in this message to change the installed driver ?

I think I found how to proceed in an old message from you Randomness. I quote your procedure below.

After reading this message, I think I will change the procedure I use to change the installed driver, that I describe in this message to the following procedure :

1. I uninstall all ATI things throw "Add/Remove Programs" and restart whenever this is requested.
2. I will clean out my system.
3. I will install the driver provided by Compaq/HP (available from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=hb-20460-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=fr〈=en&os=228&product=235647) and restart again.
4. I will install the Catalyst Driver (modded when needed).

There is one thing I do not know : how do I clean out my system ? What is this meaning ?

Could I do it manually by erasing some files on the hard disk and erasing some key in the registry like the procedure given in this message ?

Am I obligated to use DriverCleaner Pro ? What do this program ?
