??? Brand check in official Mobility Catalyst Control Center?

Hi Everybody,

my current painpoint is latest official mobility catalyst 5.12 downloaded from ATI offsite using direct link that i've found here. After installation on my Dell Inspiron 8600 with Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo 128Mb the CCC wont run at startup. I think its because Dell brand isn't officially supported by ATI. Meanwhile drivers works fine.
Does anybody have any idea how to skip this brand check (change registry entry, *.ini file, something else...)?

Thanks in advance!

by the way, i dont like the idea of using desktop drivers modded by Patje, sorry....

Does it have ".net framework" installed, CCC requires it, but the older control panel does not.

Not picking, just curious as to why you are against them.

thanks to all, the problem was with my ms.net fw, after reinstallation everything is ok now. my tip is to use version 1.1 with SP1 instead of 2.0 that i had previously.

i dont have anything against Patje modtool but i prefer "pure, native and original" drivers, it's just my PoV, nothing else

I have both .NET 1.1 and 2.0 installed just to make sure everything works!
