whenever i play a movie on my computer it will freeze. i know that it has to do with the video driver. my video card is the ati radeon igp 320m and i am using the ati's catalyst 5.8 for motherboard with integrated graphics.

now the problem is video overlay because when i was using the omega drivers , they has the same problem. so i did have a fix then, for vlc media player i added the --nooverlay switch to the shortcut and it worked, and it works with the ati driver too. but vlc doesnt really play dvd's too well. with the omega and windows media player 10 all i had to do was go to tools>options>performance>advanced>and uncheck use overlays. but that doesnt work with the ati driver for some reason.
the ati drivers works perfect for me otherwise, no crashes yet in games, i used to get an infinite loop error and now its finally fixed.
so what would you suggest for me to do? is there a way to just completely disable overlay on the computer?
