A problem of "Scale Image - maintain aspect ratio"
Hello everyone , Im from China.
DH Mod is a wonderful software .But I have a problem here bothering me a lot...
I've installed the catalyst 5.7 for my mobility X300 with DH-Mod. But the "Scale Image - maintain aspect ratio" option is not available in the ATI Catalyst Control Center.
I had read the help of the CCC: " Scale Image - maintain aspect ratio is only available when using wide-aspect display panels"
But my display panels is truely wide-aspect ! (1280x800)
The type of my notebook is SAMSUNG R50 . But they release drivers so slowly and I really do not know if they would resolve this.
Would you tell me how to do or give me a software to resolve it?
Thanks.

Try to install the officiel Mobility Catalyst drivers, it works perfectly for my widescreen (1680x1050), link: http://www.ati.com/online/mobilecatalyst

I have the same problem, only I use the Omega Radeon Drivers... My guess is that you have to enable "Video Scaling" in the BIOS to fix this problem, at least that should be one of the solutions, but my BIOS doesn't have that option.
If you do have this option in your BIOS and it's not enabled, enable it... Maybe your problem will be fixed then.
I also want this option, so I'm asking everybody else here if they can PLEASE tell me how to fix this. Thanks in advance...

Just as I said before, only the x700 and newer got that option. I red it on the ati website. It's hardware-related so I don't think it can be patched ( I checked the whole inf driver file for it..)

My BIOS doesn't have that "Video Scaling" option either. Hardware-related? It's so bad. I love those old games ...
A friend of mine said he would try VMWare ... Does it work ? I don't know ...

I'd love to see where you read that on the ATi site
I have a mobility X300 on my Dell Inspiron 6000 and with every single version of the 5.6, 5.7, and 5.8s that I have tried (Omegas, Catalyst, Dell Stock) sets it has always worked perfectly.
In fact its the only way I can get certain games like the Need For Speed series to appear unstretched

Not true. I know several people with Mobility 9800s from Dell who have that feature available.
