Hi guys, great looking forum here! I'm having a problem with TV Out from my S-Video port. My problem actually is that I cant get anything to show on the Tv. I have read that many people could get it in black and white, but I cannot get anything to show.
My specs are the following:-

GFX MODEL:
Mobility Radeon x 600

LAPTOP MAKE and MODEL:
Acer Inspire 1800

CPU:
Intel Pentium 4 2.93

MEMORY:
512MB

HARD DRIVE:
60 GB

SCREEN RESOLUTION:
1440x900

Any help wouldbe greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

What make and model TV is it, and is it NTSC (America), PAL (Europe) or SECAM?

One thing you might try quickly, regardless of the type TV, is make sure the TV is on ( I know this is basic but I have to say...) and the SVideo input is set at the TV before you boot the computer.

Are you using a male to male SVideo cable run from the card straight to the SVideo input on the TV or do you have to hook it up using any adaptors?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

The Tv is a PAL JVC 28" Widescreen 100HZ. I'm not sure on the exact model at the moment (im at work). I have the TV on, svideo configured on the tv. I have also tried it with a scart adapter. I have tried the svideo connected to the tv pre-boot up. I have used manual monitor switching, ie: Function button + F4. I have tried using the acer software configuration switching also. In the display proporties>advanced, where you are in the ATI configuration, it gives you three graphical icons for a CRT, TFT(Laptop monitor) and Tv. The thing is though, the picture of the cable under each of the three is a vga monitor cable. I think this is for illustration only as there is no where to change that image. Of the three options, only the laptops tft is un-ghosted. The other two are ghosted out and no matter what i seem to do I cannot seem to get them activated.

Thanks again
