I've tried posting this info in the WoW forum, but nobody could seem to help me out, so I try here cuz people on this site seem to be very helpful. I have a Radeon IGP 320m card on my Compaq Presario computer that seems to create more problems than solutions. I first tried installing the new mobility drivers from AVI, and World of Warcraft played fine except for stretched texture on the ground which you can see here:
http://home.sou.edu/~whitean/WoWcrappytexture.jpg
So I installed the Omega drivers, rad_w2kxp_omega_2625a, file version 4.11.0.0, and it fixed the texture, but left me with a horrible frame rate. so I poked around Radlinker, and found some tweaks that help the framerate a whole bunch, but now, in what seemscompletely random, WoW freezes, the screen flashes a bit, and then stops working. The HD stops working, everything. So, i Alt+F4 out of WoW, and my desktop looks normal for a sec, then screws up, and i'm forced to restart my compy. Obviously a video card (rather chip) problem, and i created a profile in Radlinker just for WoW, and that fails as well. Now, i've tried installing the new Omega Drivers, and my compy hates that too. When it starts up it asks if I want to enter XP normal, or safe mode, or restore previous settings, etc.....and then it checks the disk and somewhere during that time it freezes. I've tried the Catalyst drivers, with the modder, and my compy won't accept the drivers, says they aren't compatible with my display adapter i think. I'd check, but i've been screwing around with my card for way too long, and i'm growing weary. I even formatted my compy to see if something magical would work, but no. Now know that WoW will play for a bit, nice graphics (nice meaning good frame rate), everything going peachy keen, and then, boom, it stops. Yesterday I got to play it for hours without anything happening, and today it's occuring randomly. Sorry this is going on so long, but I hope somebody has some knowledge as to how I can solve this problem. I'll add some specs at the bottom for reference, and i'll keep searching the forums for something to help out. Hope to hear something soon.
