??? Odd notebook problem (Radeon 9700 mobile)

I have a Mitac 8050 with an onboard ATI Radeon 9700 card. The other day I accidently hit the display mode switch button on my computer (Fn+F5) and it switched to using just an external monitor and shutting off my built-in LCD. No problem, I thought, so I hit it a few more times but nothing happened. Very odd. I restart, still don't have my LCD back. I hook up to a friend's monitor and see my desktop. Now I can hit my mode switch button and get my desktop back. The problem is every time I restart or even go into hibernate, when the computer starts up, again, my LCD is off and it's defaulted to the external. Oh, and hitting the mode switch doesn't do anything until I hook an external monitor up.

How do I fix this? I've tried reinstalling my video drivers (I'm using the lastest Omegas) and even tried the Driver Cleaner utility from Driverheaven.net to no avail. No matter what I do, I cannot get my computer to use my LCD over an external. It's almost as if the external monitor has been set as the primary choice...

If it helps, in the Monitors Tab of my Advanced Display Settings (Display Settings, Settings Tab, Advanced...) it used to display two Default Monitors. Now it displays, in the order, the Dell monitor I had hooked it up to to fix my problem, a Plug and Play Monitor, and then Default Monitor.

Any ideas?

I've checked the BIOS once, already, and didn't see that as an option. I'll look again, though.
