Sony PCG-Z1WAP and WIndows 7?

I've got a SONY PCG-Z1WAP running the RTM version of Win7 and can't get the ATI video drivers to work (tried using latest modder, also tried loading the vista driver - but Win7 insists the generic VGA driver is best).

All i want is the DVI on the dock to work - this PC will only be used for browsing and email - no heavy GFX or games.

Anyone have suggestion? I'm ready to reinstall Vista (yech) cause i need the port replicator's external DVI functioning.
