when i go to 800X600 resolution black bars appears on right and left

Hi
on my tablet pc i have ATI Mobility Radeon HD3200 and i downgrade to xp
the problem when i go to 800X600 resolution black bars appears on right and left !!??
any idea how to make the picture fill the screen?

in the catalyst control panel, under digital panel, attributes, check to see if GPU scaling is enabled, chances are it is. un check it and you panel should resize and stratch your chosen resolution to fit the panel.

i did not install catalyst center at all
so i have to isntall it first to solve the problem
