ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 - No audio over HDMI with receiver
Hi
Hi I have a Yamaha RXV-3900. I recently purchased a Dell Studio 1555 laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon 4570 512 MB card with HDMI output. When I connect the laptop to the RXV-3900 via HDMI, the video shows nicely on my connected LG Plasma but no audio is coming out through the speakers. The strange thing is, when I connect the laptop directly to the LG Plasma via HDMI, 2 channel sound is heard from the LG Plasma speakers. I understand that this is a known issue with the ATI Radeon 4850 card: AMD Game Forums - HIS 4850 no AUDIO over HDMI via Recevier Is there a driver fix or something I can install from ATI or this "Realtek" crew I keep reading about? Please help. The laptop is not much use to me if I can't watch movies with 5.1 channel sound. Many thanks |
