Mobility 9000 with 3ds and vray problem.. with all driver except the origina acer!!!

Hi my friends.. i've a big problem with my notebook (Acer TravelMate 803 lci with radeon mobile 9000 video card).

I'm trying to learn 3ds with vray motion render.. but i've found a troble during my path..

While modelling, my notebook and my video card work really well for what i need to do for now.. but.. when i try to insert a vray rectangular light.. the viewport make all visible dark.. so i don't see the preview of the light in the scene. This, happened only with rectangular vray light.. because if use vray sunlight system.. scene is correctly lighted.. if render the scene.. also with the rectangular light the scene is correct.. but not in the preview..

I though that the problem was vray (1.5 sp2) or 3ds (2009), and try to reinstall all.. but nothing change..

Also.. try to remove the video drivers and reinstall.. but also nothing..

So.. i tried to remove all the video drivers and reinstall the old original video drivers that come out with my note.. (windows xp sp3 with ACER - 2003.09.23 - 6.14.10.6387 release driver)
With those driver, 3ds and vray.. work really slow.. but REALLY SLOW!!! but the viewport, also with rectangular light.. is correctly lighted..

I tried to install every version of driver (cleaned and modded.. until the catalyst 6.5 relase.. because after that version.. my 9000 isn't support..) but nothing change.. no light!!!

My observation are that.. with original acer driver, in directx control panel diagnostic, the driver are recognized how WHQL.. but really slow.. and with atitool, seams that no agp fast and no fastwrite.. (doesn't matter for fastwrite.. but NO AGP 4X??? why??? in the information panel say NOT SMARTGART INSTALLED.. UHMMM..)

With other driver (cleaned and modded..) no light.. (only with rectangular light..) but everithing is fast.. agp4x.. smartgart.. fastwrite (on/off ability to change..)... BUT NOT WHQL.. also with catalyst whql.. why??

I always (only with cleaned original catalyst driver..) have to mod those driver with DH mobility modder.. because if original.. the system doesn't recognize my videocard..

How can fix it?? there are other notebook, with newer video driver unmodded and whql certified that make me able to work correctly with 3ds and vray??
