ati x1800 ati2dvag dell m2010 pita

First, many thanks to this website and forum.

After trying all solutions that I could find on web to solve ati2dvag endless loop problem on m2010 running xp pro (including,Pgh. PC Web Board: ati2dvag.dll infinite loop:User Solutions and many thanks to that forum) using the latest catalyst w/mobilitymodder finally completely solved the problem. Tried the drivers from the dell website and omega drivers. When the m2010 would boot up at all, those drivers tended to convert the ati2dvag bsod into a parity/enumeration bsod.

This 'laptop' is for a customer with poor eyesight who uses it with cad programs to perform in-home consultations and his software will not run on new OSes, otherwise I would have been tempted to stomp on the thing and kick the remains under the couch.

Not a gamer, so don't have games to check out the system with, but am currently playing second full length dvd, and have been trying various reboots and shut downs to try to get error to recur. So far so good.

Thanks again.
