Does AGI 345M on Sony Vaio support 2nd monitor at 1680x1050

I have a Sony Vaio K27 notebook running XP Pro. I was just about to purchase a monitor and realized that the native monitor resolution was not part of the supported chip set resolution of the 2nd monitor mode. It seems that 1680x1050 (widescreen) is not offered. Is there something that can be done, updated?
Harware: Radeon IGP 345M, chipset RS200M AGP (0x4337)
Driver: ATI Technologies Inc. 4/27/2004 6.14.10.6444

Try playing with PowerStrip. It will allow you to make a custom monitor resolution for your secondary display:
