Laptop with IGP?

I'm using a laptop with an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150. An integrated gpu.

I was previously using the Omega Drivers, and due to lack of updates, I am seeking to upgrade to ATI's normal drivers (or downgrade, maybe?). I used the mobility modder on the igp install, but it froze when trying to install the south bridge drivers.

So, that said: Do I need to use the Mobility Modder on igp drivers? Is it safe to install the igp drivers unmodded?

EDIT: Never mind. Without the modification, it claimed that it couldn't find a device suitable for installation. Feel free to delete this thread now.

EDIT 2: And now it's acting even stranger. I modified it and it's still doing the same thing, except it extracted a bunch of files before giving the message.

I used DriverCleaner after the first time the install failed.

EDIT 3: I went to Gateway's site and input my lappy's serial number to find that they had gfx drivers, for XP. Catalyst 8.25. So I downloaded it and tried to install, and found that the message was still appearing.

A restart fixed it.

So now, I have relatively up-to date drivers, straight from my laptop manufacturer. So I suppose we can consider this resolved. Please forgive my dumbassery. Delete this thread if you want.
