Hello everybody, yeah my problem is one that hundreds of users have had, some were able to fix it others gave up..
The famous Error Code 43 in Windows Vista..
So i own a Notebook HP Pavilion ZX5051EA..
- P4 3.06
- 512MB DDR
- 80GB HDD
- ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Dedicated 64MB ( DirectX 9 )
- Motherboard IGP 9100
- North Bridge RC300
- South Bridge SB200
- AGP 3.0, 8X
Now some people will say, " Oh those hardware requirements are too low to run Windows Vista Home Premium ", but by changing some configurations it runs has fast has XP if not faster and everything works fine..
Except the Video Card, since it gives error code 43 in device manager..
Now i installed the Gart driver to PCI-PCI device and installed XP Omega drivers ( last ones ) and it works great..
Except when i'm seing a movie in media player in full screen and drive my mouse pointer in pause or foward buttons and it lows the speed of video..
Off course i don't have Aero, but i can live without it..
But not having WDDM drivers is a pain in the ass, because I'm sure that windows media player problem would go away and some other minors ones..
So after some research i found out that maybe the error code 43 with WDDM drivers has to do with AGP Fast Write being enabled on BIOS, but my BIOS options don't show the option to turn it off, so I'm thinking maybe i could change the ATI driver to somehow bypass that problem or maybe someone by reading this story have some idea on what could be..
Well I'm all open to ideas and solutions, if anyone have any idea please type it here
One last thing i wonder if Omega drivers for Vista when they may come will solve my problem..
Thank you all..
