ATI Radeon Xpress 200m Question
First thing I would like to say this is an awesome site I've stumbled upon. Being new here and wanting to understanding my laptop better I am hoping to gain some information.
Over the past couple weeks I've been trying to learn about how to improve somethings on my computer. I have no idea I couldn't change out or install a graphics card into a laptop like you can in a desktop. A friend of mine asked me if I've updated my drivers and of course I have not. So doing some research I find out that it should be a relatively easy process.
I have a Toshiba Satellite M115-S1061 system. Got a deal on it realizing the limitations of having an older Celeron M processor. The main purpose of the computer is doing online schooling, poker and general items. I do have a small collection of games that I play like Tiger Woods 07, Heroes of Might and Magic, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and couple other older games. I'm fully aware this machine will not run newer games because of the processor and graphics card however I believe I should be getting a little more out of this machine.
This morning I try updating my driver and get directed to an AMD ATI support site. I check off the approiate boxes and get the file and download it or at least I thought it was correct. Once going through the install program it tells me that my machine isn't supported. Got to thinking since I have a Intel Celeron M processor is there a different place I should be to get the updated driver file?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Michael
