ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 - Omega 3.8.421 & Half Life 2

Hi there,

I have a quick question. I recently installed Omega 3.8.421 Drivers for my Mobility 9000 card and now my Half Life 2 won't work. I upgraded to Omega because Half Life said it wouldn't work with my old drivers. Now that I've upgraded to Omega, I try and run HL2 and it won't open at all. What do I need to do to get this to work.... either by tweaking settings within Omega or downloading other drivers? Thanks.

I had a similar problem to yours.. just that i was trying to run warcraft 3. I believe its because MOB Radeon 9K isnt supported by 3.8.421.. Youll need an older version, Download the Catalyst 6.5 one, 3.8.252 it worked for me but im having a really strange problem..

After i installed the drivers and restarted, It was working fine. But when i reboot/shut down, my pc turns on again naked without the drivers working. After reinstalling again, it works for one instance, then stops again upon the next restart.. Its getting really frustrating.. hope someone can help me fix the problem.

I have the same problem. I run HL2 and it plays the Valve and source intro screens, and then promptly minimizes and closes itself. If someone knows what might fix this, please let me know. Thanks.
