Inspiron 6000, ATI Mobility Radeon X300
Help, while I consider myself computer savy I have an issue and a basic question regarding drivercleaner. The problem started when I downloaded the beta of Albatross18 (a golf game where you play online with other players). I had been playing the standard version for some time with no issues. Well I uninstalled the beta when the full Season 3 came out and then I would get a black screen, followed by a jumble of colors and flashing until I went back to normal. I have downloaded the drivers and the control panel from ATI but they say my system in incompatible which it shouldn't be. When I try to play the game now it won't even start saying I need at least DirectX 8 (I have ver. 10) and should try to install a new driver. I purchased drivercleaner and even read the read me which I never do. When I ran the program I guessed I needed to click on ATI and then my firewall said it was going to uninstall or remove the driver. Do I want it to do that? What steps do I have to go through before continuing, do I need to have the new video drivers downloaded? I guess I'm asking how does drivercleaner work and which items would I know to clean. Thank you for your patience.

By the way for some reason I haven't ever been able to boot into safe mode. I just get a bunch of lines of text and it freezes when I press F*
