Sad DirectX Problems with ATi Radeon Mobility XPRESS 200M

Operating System:
Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition (5.2, Build 3790) Service Pack 2

CPU (Processor):
Intel(R) Celeron(R) M processor 1.40GHz, ~1.4GHz

Motherboard:
ATI SB450 Rev0.4b

RAM:
766MB RAM

Graphics Card/s Installed:
ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M Series

Description of Problem:
Basicly, I cannot seem to enable DirectX Acceleration on my laptop. It has worked earlier, when I was running Windows XP Home, and on Ubuntu Linux 7.04, but not on this server version. Tried downloading catalyst 7.9, 7.4, 6.2 and 4.3, applying the modtool and neither worked (with nor without the modtool).

Really don't know what to do to fix the problem, apart from maybe reverting to Windows XP Home - which is a kind of last resort.

Hello:

Windows 2003 Sever version does not have AGP acceleration enabled by default. Goto Display in control panel, goto the "Settings" Tab, click "Advanced", goto the "Troubleshoot" tab, move the slider to "Full Acceleration, and enable "write combining" if the option is available.

Restart your computer. Check DirectX Diagnostic again (dxdiag). If acceleration still doesn't run, but the "Full acceleration" settings are kept in the troubleshoot tab, than try re-installing your drivers.

Good luck, take care
