Fullscreen problem on MRX1600 :( Help!

Well, i`m owner of BenQ P52 Joybook, i bought Vista 32-bit, tried to find drivers - but i couldn`t find anything that will even install... I`ve found drivers modder here - tried it, modded newest catalyst 7.8, everything was ok, drivers were working etc. but there is a problem - when i`m running a game ( for example Half-Life2 ) in a fullscreen mode, screen turns black with cursor on it, and it crashes - nothing more happened, i have to reboot my pc. When i run a game in window mode - everything is ok. I`ve tried other versions of catalyst - 7.5, 7.4, 7.3, 7.1 ( 7.1 installed without modding ) but the problem is still there - still can`t run nothing in fullscreen mode. ( for info : vista home premium, newest directx, mobility radeon x1600, 2gb ram, on XP everything runs ok, on "standard" vista drivers games run, but are too slow to play ). Anyone have an idea how to deal with this problem ? Help me pls.
