Another m9700 thread
Hi guys, it's not another ATI & Vista driver issue. I just got this weird problem and hoping some feedback. So I got Vista up and running just a few days ago, and the 7.1 drivers works like XP. But I got this weird bug with the power options, take a look
![]() as you can see, it's under High Performance but it's only got Maximum Battery Life available. In fact, the ATI Graphics Power Settings are ONLY seen under High Performance settings. Anyone have seen this? I was hoping I can edit this in the Registry or something. Thanks. |

Odd, that is a bit of an issue if you want to do anything graphic entensive.
My suggestion would be to send a ticket through ati's support. And hope to hell that the next driver revision resolves this issue. I'm unaware of any registry settings that could resolve this though.

Another thing I noticed when I close my lid, I can hear a sound coming from the speakers. When I open them again, I hear another sound follow by a huge delay on the time the screen comes on again. It's like Vista is trying to control how my laptop's screen works (even though I tell it to "Do nothing" in Power Options). When I was using XP SP2, I close my lid, screen turns off; I open my lid, screen comes on instantly (doesn't even need to open all the way, just a little bit up from closed will do). Any suggestions with that? I want it to work like it did with XP SP2.
