Omega Drivers v.38291 and BSoD
I have a Acer Travelmate 8204 with an X1600 and I've recently installed the latest omega drivers. But, a few hours later, I closed the lid on my laptop and when I went back to open it up again, Windows would not load. I thought it weird so I rebooted and was met with a BSoD with an IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL error after Windows loaded but before the desktop actually came up. I had to go into Safe Mode and uninstall the new drivers and replace them with the stable v.38273. I followed the FAQ on Omegadrivers.net on how to upgrade previous Omega installations but maybe I did them wrong? Has anyone else had this BSoD problem after installing the latest driver sets or was it my own fault for somehow botching up the upgrade process.

exactly the same problem here with acer 8215
also, when I used dhmodtool with catalyst 6.9, I get the same bsod
I guess its an issue with 6.9... could someone from one of the modders verify whats happening?

The problem has changed now to that 6.9 drivers, when installed, will not allow the system come out of standby properly. The system must be forced shutdown and rebooted. The BSoD could have probably been a bad install on my part. But, it seems this new problem is universal to the Cat 6.9 drivers, modded or not (I've tested official ATI Cat 6.9, DHzer0point 0.69, and Omega 3.82791, each time with a clean installation).
mrboliao, if since your system configuration is basically the same as mine (minus the Core 2 Duo processor, btw how's that working out?), could you possibly test the 6.9 drivers with a clean installation using DH's DriverCleaner?

All my installs are coupled with drivercleaner. And yup my config is same as yours except for core2duo and more disk space and ram.
