Mobility Radeon 9600 M10 - Screen blurred

Hi! Maybe anyone can help me to fix this problem. During gaming the screen suddenly blurs or gets dark (system hangs up). In normal use i don't have any troubles with my graphic card.

Up to now i have tried serveral Omega-Drivers and ATI-Drivers.
Now i reinstalled the Ati-driver that i got from my vendor (when bought laptop).

Windows XP, Sp2, all updates:

Looks like an overheating issue im afraid, if it's in warranty return it, if not it may be worth stripping it and cleaning the fans out and if your upto it maybe reseating the heatsink with new thermal paste.
If you need some help or to talk it through on messenger just PM me.

to check if it is an overheating issue, install powerstrip and try underclocking the core and ram by 30-50mhz. just as a test. do it individually to isolate the problem. the more information you have when calling tech support or an RMA claim it will help (also helps to sound educated then these people dont fob you off).

Thanks for the info. Thought something like that since i tried several drivers with the same result. Black screen or blurred screen.

I May the changed my mainboard.
Now a silly question: Is the graphic-card directly assembled on the mainboard ?

The graphics chip will be integrated onto the motherboard and is non-replaceable. Again I'd suggest checking all of the intake and exhausts ports as they basically operate like a small vacuum cleaner. One other thing to note is that most cards intake air on the bottom of the chassis so make sure it's not obstructed i.e your knee doesnt cover it.
