No OpenGL Fire GL 9000 on IBM T40p

Hi everybody.
I'm having troubles with my Fire GL 9000 in my IBM T40p. Earlyer when using the original installed Win XP i had no problems with OpenGL. After a System crash I installed a normal (no recovery) clean Windows XP + SP2 including the original Video-drivers from IBM. But since this i'm not able to use hardware based opengl accleration in games or applications.

I allready tried to use Omega-Drivers (no change), modified catalyst driver with patje-tool (blue-screen) and dna-drivers (didn't worked). Open Gl Viewer states me my Renderer is Microsoft GDI Geneic (which means noe real OpenGL at all?).

I've read some things in this forum about people with the same problems like me-but their solution based on using the original IBM-Driver, which didn't worked for me

Has anybody a solution for my problem? Does IBM only allow the usage of OpenGL-Hardware accleratio when using their preinstalled modified Windows Version?

Same problem

I have the same problem as the OP. Any ideas? I've scoured the net and tried (I think) everything the OP has. One other thing that I tried was to disable the OpenGL acceleration (under the Configuration tab of Advanced display settings), reboot, then enable it again and reboot. No joy.

Weird thing is that 3D acceleration definitely works with Direct3D (based on performance of Google Earth, Flight Simulator etc). Why is OpenGL so difficult to get working?
