Darkness issues with Omega Drivers

I recently got a notebook with a X1400 256MB vid card. I downloaded and installed the latest Omega Drivers, everything is working great. I only have one issue, during gameplay, specifically Quake 4, the screen gets dark, as if someone just lowered the gamma, or brightness settings ways down. Now when I go back to my desktop, everything is fine.

Anyone come across this problem? or know what I need to do to keep this from happening again, its annoying.
