Problem With TV Out Using Omega Drivers On Laptop

Posted this on another forum, but figured I'd bring this to a broader audience.

I just went out and bought an S-Video cable, connected it to my lappy
(Dell E-1505), then to the TV. Went to S-Video, and it doesn't show up. I tried it on multiple TV's and none of them worked. Any ideas?

Ok so I troubleshooted it, and I got to a part where it asked if my secondary display drivers were installed. I went to my display in the Device manager, and found that only the (M54) from my Omega Drivers in my display. I went to manually install the drivers, but every single one I used didn't work, making a big ! next to every one I installed. None of the options are left. Any ideas?

So I went to my display properties, clicked on the second monitor and selected "extend windows to this monitior" and then asks me if I want to do this without restarting or to restart. Both times, after it comes back, the box is unchecked after I press apply.

Ok so I have pretty much narrowed down the problem. As soon as I select "Attatched" on the second monitor a checkmark goes next to it, and the second one comes into focus, but as soon as I click "apply" the checkmark is no longer next to the "Attatched" option, the "Extend windows to this monitor" is no longer checked, and the 2 monitor goes back out of focus. Any ideas?

I had the oddest problem with TV Out- where if my TV wasn't on a normal channel (i.e showing a normal program) the lappy wouldnt detect the presence of a TV properly. When I had it on the AV channel the lappy wouldnt detect or output a signal even if I forced it to.

So try changing the channel on your TV and rescanning displays.
