Great havin KX for my 1820m on a dual boot system but I hope you can fix the dock issue soon E.

I'll just describe what's happenning in my system in case it helps as the phenomenon is repeatable.

After powering off the system and turning it back on, the dock always comes on in christmas tree mode (all lights on). Reloading the firmware does nothing by itself, I have to reboot again and then it initializes properly. After subsequent soft reboots, the dock remains working.

So, when my computer has been turned off (or gone into sleep) I have to load windows once, reload firmware, then reboot, for the dock to initialize.

If I want to use it in osx, I have to boot into windows, reload firmware, reboot into windows and see that the dock is initalized, then reboot again into osx.
Sometimes the reboot into windows is not necessary.

If I try to run edpsctrl while the unit is in christmas tree mode, I get this.

I have leopard 10.5.5 kaliway and audigy 4 (sb0610) and kXManager run only a grey screen. I can choose 5.1. 6.1 7.1 and anothers. When I choose 5.1 or another model ever I have in ouput audio 8ch 32 bits. The mic is not detected, mic not run. The subwoofer is not separate of middle speaker.

With mic is a good solution. Please repair it an I will be very happy.

Addendum:

Cold booting into osx, the dock dosen't go into christmas tree mode and edspctrl loads the firmware and initializes the dock properly.

Posting in a thread without even reading at least reading the first and last few posts is just foolish. If you're that lazy, you don't deserve to be helped.

I reckon he'll be back without warning with KX manager and recording to go with the bug fixes. Getting that stuff up and running in osx would be a lot more rewarding than painstakingly tracing wierd bugs related to hardware he doesn't own.

And for those who cant wait for recording, try setting up an aggregate device and connect the spdif out from the EMU to spdif in on your mobo. That should let you use the EMU converters and a working input under in one device, provided the analogue in's can be routed to the spdif out. Can we do it in windows and reboot?

I wanted to do this but haven't tried as I found my new mobo doesn't have the spdiff headers.

If you boot after windows, you may wish to run 'edspctrl' with '-reset' or '-defaults' option.

Telemetry info:
I got 10k1-related telemetry data and confirmed the bug was with clocking.

Current status:
No progress at all. A lot of offline activities, kX-unrelated, a lot of work, etc..
Perhaps will have some time in the end of November to fix the following issues:

* kernel panics
* 10k1 distortions
* (perhaps?) recording

no problem with my audigy 2 ZS (notebook) on Vanilla kernel iatkos install i5 (toshiba laptop A100-090 TI pcmcia chip XX12) am I lucky or something????
Not perfect, but ok.
used it for quite a while even with core Audio settings, rerouted through Soundflowerbed, fine.
btw, supported this (for 12$ or so) because it really rules,
can't wait to use dsp features and the mic input of it.

Ready to beta test this intensively for help.
