Important: Front Audio coming out Rear Ports

I've read people reporting a bug that the front audio is coming out of the rear port (black) and vice versa

This is not a bug

It's a design feature of the original kX drivers for Windows, and has been translated over to OS X, as with most Live/Audigy series cards, the DA converter for the rear outputs is actually better quality that the DAC on the front outputs.

OK, I understand that to get better sound quality with kX's default installation and to avoid the remapping of channels, I should switch (Rear cables) to (Front ports of sound card) and (Front cables) to (Rear port of sound card).

But, In my thread@InsanelyMac one dude has Live! Value (which only has Left + Right + Digital Out + Mic) according to information that dude specified.

Under these circumstances, a person has to remap the channels of L&R to 3&4 manually. Can kX Installer detect person's sound card and map speaker accordingly in future releases???

AFAIK, a Live! Value should have Line In, Mic In, Line Out (front), Line Out (rear).

For that matter, I am not aware of any kX compatible card that does not have analog front and rear outputs.

That is exactly what I had in mind but that dude told me, he does not have rear ports (which was odd). Either of ways, cable switching seems to be "a must"

anyways, he managed to fix the issue now (remapping ofcourse)

After the Alfa Build 3, Remapping will not be required (Most probably on all cards) for Rear issues...
