??? Project Orca?

I've heard about Project Orca on a few sites that indicate it's a complete rewrite of the ATI OpenGL driver on Linux - although it's just a post here and there. Nothing of any substance - just rumours.

Anyone know anything about it? Links?

I doubt anyone from ATI like Matthew will respond to this, but All I heard is that it is planned to be finished in the first half of next year...

I think its also for Windows opengl driver too?? but i could be wrong..
That would be sweet if it was only for Linux though, so ATI can maybe take the performance crown away from nvidia for once in linux..

System Specs

Well, they said that they are always rewriting things incrementally, not all at once. So, I doubt, but I hope it's true.

/me goes Googling for "Project Orca"

Well from an interview someone had with CM Terry Makedon. Terry mentions that there is a side project to rewrite certain parts of the opengl driver .. but still he goes on to say, that the linux driver team is in proportion to the size of the linux community.. saying its 5% linux along with 5% mac and 90% windows.. blah to boring windows....
