Rate ATI Proprietary Linux Driver 8.18.6 only (October 13th, 2005)
As usual, rate ATI's new Linux driver.

I will try it as soon as I manage to download it; ATI is serving wrong mimetype, so I will try to use IE tomorrow on college...
Hopefully they have fixed problems with radeonfb and resolutions... that's mostly as far as I care.

Hmm, I don't see that link; after I agree, it starts to download immediately. Does anyone know a mirror or a torrent?

This could be because Ubuntu is shipping GCC 4 as default compiler and compiles default kernel with GCC 3.4 because the version they use doesn't compile with GCC 4. So, basically you are compiling a module with GCC 4 for kernel compiled with GCC 3.4. Which obviously won't work.
I can only suggest you to wait and hopefully the drivers will appear in the backports... (which is what I will do)
