Not a bad release noting that they added more features. Just keep those opengl fixes/tweaks coming!
Video Overlay still craps out! (run zapping in overlay mode and you'll see what I mean)
If only they could stop wasting time developing for old versions of xfree86..

Did anyone at ATI even try to download this file in Linux?? Firefox tries to open the 60 MB file in a window. And it's impossible to get it via wget too.

What do you mean impossible? I guess wget should be able to do it.
In case Firefox tries to display it, that means ATI is serving wrong mimetype. I think you can use the "Save target as" to avoid that bug.

Yeah, it would be really cool if they dropped support for anything below XFree86 4.3.0. Almost nobody who cares about 3D acceleration uses that today!

Well, the RPM installed on fc4 x86_64, so that's a plus, and it seems to run ok on the Xpress 200. ctl-alt-backspace still hangs the x server, though. All in all, a step in the right direction...

I get really bad flickering on Eternal Lands with these drivers
Downgrading to 8.16.20-r1 fixes the problem on amd64, which indicates it is a driver issue imo

I get the same as with the previous version: blank screen and no access to any console.
dmesg and Xorg.0.log show everything perfect, but it isn't. Desperating...

Must be specific to amd64 cause I just installed et and it runs fine .. I won't go 64bit for a while cause things like this, and many other apps..

Well I'm sure there are a lot of ATI channel partners that would disagree with that. You have to keep in mind that we are not the primary target users for ATI but rather their workstation, professional, etc. partners. And a lot of those places can't upgrade as easily as a home user, and so get stuck with old X versions for longer periods.
