Actually it's not an issue of the drivers

Let me explain; you need to install linux-headers according to the kernel version you have installed. So if for instance you have 2.6.10-386, you need to install linux-headers-2.6.10-386. After you do that, go to /usr/src and make sure there is a linux symlink, which points to /usr/src/<linux-headers-you-installed>. After you do that, try to reinstall the drivers
