editing settings to get TVout to work. help??

Alright so I got this distro called geexbox. Works great. It seems to be exactly what im looking for EXCEPT that the bloody TV-out functionality isnt so good(which is bad because thats the entire freakin point of the distro)

I have a mobility Rage 128 Pro I BELIEVE (windows gives some conflicting information but im pretty sure thats the one)

After some fiddling in debug mode I got the TV to work but NOT with the LCD on. Thats fine I really dont care. Basically it means that I can either have the TV working or the LCD working.

Now heres the problem. First, I cannot get out of debug mode at all. Its like im stuck there. Second: I cant make this a perminant change because its a live CD. How can I edit this so that the change sticks for EVERY time I boot the CD? I'm assuming I'm going to have to modify the ISO first and then reburn it, but I dont even know where to start!
