Macbook Pro DVI to VGA?
Hi,
I have two macbook pro laptops running Ubuntu Feisty which are working well using the fglrx driver with DVI out.
However, I cannot seem to get the external port working if converting from DVI to VGA, I just get no connection.
Does anyone know if DVI -> VGA is possible on the Macbook Pro and/or with the fglrx driver?
Cheers,
Chris

It should work... I know of no option in that driver to enable or disable DVI --> VGA mode so...?

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. I did solve it in the end. I had to enable crt2 and disable crt1 (in xorg.conf / using aticonfig).
Then it all worked
Haven't tried under 64bit yet, but i386 is working well (even with matrox DualHead2Go).
Cheers,
Chris

Did you ever get 64bit working? Or is this even a problem in 64?
