New ATI drivers are out 8.34.8 here's the release notes

Not much different from the 8.33.6's New features :
This release of the Catalyst™ Linux graphics driver introduces support for the ATI Xpress™ 1250 IGP for AMD based motherboards.
I just gave them a try seeing that they were released today.
No performance increases over the 8.33.6's so unless you need support for the
1250 igp or have serious issues with a past release you might want to skip them.
Hopefully the next release will add support for AIGLX
