Can't get refresh rate higher than 85 Hz with >= 8.29.6, even with Modeline

Hi, after installing the 8.29.6 (same for 8.30.3) drivers on Suse 10.1, I can't get a refresh rate higher than 85 Hz to function, although the normal 90 and 100Hz options are listed in the Suse display control panel chosing them just outputs the same as 85 Hz. Install method was exactly the same as i've always use, and i made sure the Horizontal and Vertical refresh rates were correct when running Sax2 and in xorg.conf.

For 8.29.6 I got around the problem by adding the following into xorg.conf:

Modeline "1024x768" 124.84 1024 1088 1240 1528 768 768 771 817

That got 1024x768 displaying at 100 Hz properly, though removed all options for any other refresh rates.

I just installled the 8.30.3 drivers and although it has the same 85 Hz limit with a default xorg.conf, adding the modeline text doesn't help, infact it just takes the 1024x768 resolution choice away from the control panel so i can't use that res at all.

Anyone know how i can solve the problem, either forcing a 100 Hz refresh rate or getting it to output the correct refresh when chosen?
