Post your Linux desktop! (56k warning)
You know we had to have one of those, especially since the DH folk are of the creative side of things So to start off, here's mine (not recently updated, due to the army thing, but current neverthless):

Heh - my desktop is boring but highly functional.
The exciting part is a picture of my and my girl as my wallpaper.
The functional part is the menu, taskbar and pager.
gDesklets looks very nice - I may try it out and then post some screenies

Here's mine...
This is my desktop, I'm running Ubuntu.
BTW: This is my brother being brutal to a misbehaving ink-jet printer

I know... but you were still referring to an *nix.

debian and a nice desktop, imo
Nothing special I guess. Running Debian 'sarge'.. The wallpaper can be found in DA under the 'mac' sub section.

Thanks. The network traffic monitoring tool is called 'netspeed', I just apt-get installed it. I believe it's in the ubuntu repositories as well. The CPU/MoBo sensors thing is called 'gnome-sensors-applet'. It's available from http://sensors-applet.sourceforge.net , not as a .deb though. I requested it to be packaged and maybe it some day will be.. It's not hard to install it from source though. Oh, and it uses lm_sensors to read the temperatures/fan speeds, so you have to have that installed and configured.
