i'm Linux green :(
I've bought Acer notebook with pre installed Linpus Linux, i'm loged as root and i can't start GUI what command must use

Start X is the command I believe.

It's not capitalized and is:
startx Without space and case sensitive. |

Hm, I think it is in /etc/inittab.
type in (*without quotes) "vi /etc/inittab" and find a line that says "id:3:initdefault:" change the 3 in that line to a 5, but make sure you change it to 5! Reboot and an X Session will automatically start on startup! |
