Default Post Lost my user's PATH

Here's the short of it; I was trying to ./configure a proggie and I needed gtk in my PATH, so in my haste to get it configured and compile before I came to work I did export PATH=/usr/lib/gtk-1.2 Now that's the only line that my user has in it's PATH, so now I can't even cd or ls. My root user is ok so I can fix it, I just need to know what file holds PATH, I can't remember what the file name is. Thanks

it can be either, it can also be .profile . I didn't bother with it last night, I ended up making a new user and moving all the old stuff to the new user's home dir and changing permissions. Thanks though
