when will unix or linux beat ms

I know this is probably a dumb question but does anyone think that apples OS of unix or a Linux flavor will evove to the point to run MS Software and current games. I know there is Wine and other emulation software but I am curious if anyone thinks the tides wil change and MS software runs with no advanced knowledge of the os and linux and unix becomes better at a sleeker advanced gui for noobs like me( who are tired of blue screens, lockups, and other favorite windows errors).

if that ever happens, it won't be for a very long time.

if it were to be on teh MAC platform, then MAC computers and laptops need to be price competitive to their PC counterparts. but imo, this would have the best opportunity to do gain this market.

if it were to be a unix/linux box that you can also install windows on that you put together yourself, then probably not. and if so, it'd be much longer than what MAC would.
